A Research School, Not a Prep Shop
Embark is the international competition team of Youfang Education — one of China’s earliest organizations dedicated to cultivating genuine research literacy in young people. Since 2016, we have done one thing: take a student’s real curiosity and build it, properly, into research that stands on international stages.
What We Believe
Section 01 — The PhilosophyOur founding principle translates roughly as “no pressure-parenting, no selling anxiety.” In practice it means we refuse the two shortcuts that dominate this industry: manufactured projects that students cannot defend, and trophy-chasing that treats research as a line on an application. Both fail — at the fair, in interviews, and in the longer arc of a student’s development.
What works instead is slower and harder: find the question the student genuinely cares about, teach the methods to pursue it rigorously, and let the results follow. A decade of doing this is why our students’ work survives ISEF’s scientific review — and why the awards repeat year after year.

Section 02 — The OperationMethodology Team
Led by Dr. Wu, the academic team maintains the coaching frameworks — topic design, research execution, judging preparation — and reviews every project design before execution.

Research mentors across ISEF’s 22 categories, with graduate research experience at leading universities in the US and UK. Matched to students by field, never by schedule.
Team Embark
The competition arm that manages qualification strategy, fair logistics and finals-week support across every region we serve — the team behind four straight years of asteroid naming rights.

We are not affiliated with, nor endorsed by, the Society for Science or Regeneron ISEF; competition photographs are credited to their official source. Privacy: our coaching agreements protect student identities, so results are reported at team level only — no student names, schools or identifiable project details appear here. Accuracy: every number on this site traces to a documented season record; where a figure cannot be verified, we do not publish it.
